About Us
I’ll be honest with you — Jot Junkies didn’t start with a grand business plan or a gap in the market analysis. It started with grief, with frustration, and with me sitting at my kitchen table thinking “why doesn’t something like this exist?”
I’ve always been the kind of person who loves being organised. Stationery, planners, journals, a good system — these things genuinely bring me joy. But the products in this shop aren’t here just because I like nice things. They’re here because I needed them, and I couldn’t find them anywhere.
The story behind This is My Life
When my stepdad passed away, I was the one who had to write his eulogy. I sat down to piece together the story of his life and I realised how much I didn’t know. Not the big things — I knew those. But the details. The things that shaped him. The memories he carried. The bits of his life that happened before I came along.
There were gaps I couldn’t fill, and I found that really hard.
I didn’t want that to be someone else’s experience. I didn’t want another family to sit in that silence, trying to piece together a life from fragments. So I made the This is My Life Book — a journal filled with prompts that gently encourage you to capture your story. Family, health, love, friendships, career, world events, wisdom. It’s the kind of book that feels personal to fill in, and invaluable to leave behind.
And then there was the notebook…
After my stepdad died, I was also handed a notebook. It was supposed to contain his account details and passwords. What it actually contained was a mess of scribbled entries, crossed-out lines, and absolutely no way of telling which accounts were still open and which weren’t. Working through it was stressful in a way that felt completely unnecessary, at a time when I had very little capacity for extra stress.
That experience is exactly why the I.Y.K.Y.K Password Book exists. A proper, thought-through system for storing passwords, PINs, bank details, and personal account information — with checkboxes for two-factor authentication and a clear way to mark accounts as closed. Something you fill in now, store safely, and hand over one day without anyone having to guess. If You Know, You Know.
Managing money when the money isn’t consistent
I’m a solopreneur. My income doesn’t land on the same date every month, it doesn’t always come in the same amount, and the standard budgeting advice out there is largely written for people with steady salaries. I tried spreadsheets. I tried apps. I tried just hoping it would all even out. None of it worked the way I needed it to.
So I built my own system. I started dividing my money into what I came to call ‘realms’ — separate pots for different purposes. Personal spending. Business expenses. Savings. Investments. A bullion fund. A safe reserve. It sounds more complicated than it is. Once you’re in the habit, it becomes second nature, and suddenly you have a clear picture of where everything is and what it’s doing.
That system became the Realms Budget & Personal Workbook, and everything else in the Realms range — the binders, the envelopes, the money markers, the dashboards, the tracker cards — grew from there. It’s designed for people like me. Irregular income, multiple financial priorities, and a strong preference for something that actually makes sense.
Every product in this shop, I use
That’s genuinely true, and it matters to me. I wouldn’t put something out there that I haven’t tested, used, broken in, and decided was actually worth it. The Annual Personal Finance Tracker sits on my desk. The Daily Planner Notepad gets torn off every morning. The Social Media Content Plan Notepad has saved me more than once from that horrible blank-page panic of “what am I even posting this week?”
The accessories — the binders, the bags, the coin pouch wristlet, the accessory case — are all things I carry or use in my day to day life. Even the handmade jewellery charms, which are one-of-a-kind and won’t be restocked once they’re gone, are a reflection of what I actually like. A little bit of personality goes a long way.
This is just the beginning
There is so much more to come. I have a head full of ideas — more planners, more systems, more tools for people who want to get organised in a way that actually fits their life rather than forcing their life to fit a system. The Realms range in particular is far from finished. I’m working on expanding it into a fuller planning ecosystem: products that take you from your daily routine all the way through to your long-term financial goals, all connected, all designed to work together.
If you’re a planner person — if you love the idea of having everything coordinated, everything with a place, a system that grows with you — keep an eye on what’s coming. I think you’re going to like it.
Thank you for being here
