Refund policy

At Jot Junkies, we take pride in the quality of our products. Because most of our items are made to order, our returns policy reflects the nature of what we create. Your rights will vary depending on whether the product you ordered involved customer-specific customisation. Please read the following carefully before placing your order.

1. Made-to-Order Products

Our made-to-order products fall into two categories, and your cancellation rights differ accordingly.

Category A — Products made to your specification: Where you have selected a customisation option (such as a colour choice), your product is produced to your specification. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day cancellation right does not apply to such goods. We are therefore unable to accept returns, offer exchanges, or issue refunds on these products where you have changed your mind, ordered incorrectly, or the item no longer suits your needs.

Category B — Standard made-to-order products: Some products (such as standard notepads) are made to order but without customer-specific customisation. For these items, you retain the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. To exercise this right, you must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order and return the item unused and in its original condition at your own cost. Please contact us at refunds at jotjunkies.com to initiate this process.

2. Accessories & Stock Items

Accessories and other stock-based items are one-off products sold subject to availability. As stock varies and is not guaranteed to be replenished, returns on these items are also not routinely accepted unless the item is faulty or not as described.

3. Faulty or Incorrect Items

We stand behind our products. If you receive an item that is:

  • Faulty or damaged upon arrival

  • Materially different from what was described on our website

  • Incorrectly fulfilled (i.e. you received the wrong item)

you are entitled to a remedy in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This may include a repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion depending on the nature and severity of the fault.

4. How to Report a Fault or Initiate a Return

To be eligible for a remedy, you must:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order

  • Email us at: refunds at jotjunkies.com

  • Include your order number, a clear description of the fault, and photographic evidence where possible

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Do not return items without first contacting us and receiving written authorisation from us. Unauthorised returns cannot be accepted.

5. Return Postage

If your return is authorised due to a fault on our part, we will cover the reasonable cost of return postage, or provide a pre-paid label, at our discretion. If we determine upon inspection that the item is not faulty, return postage costs will not be reimbursed.

6. Refund Process

Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will notify you of our decision by email. If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process and post the credit.

7. Force Majeure

In exceptional circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to supply chain disruptions, armed conflict, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions), we may be unable to fulfil or replace your order. In such cases, we will offer a full refund of any amounts paid. We will not be liable for compensation beyond this.

8. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits or affects your statutory rights as a consumer under English law. If you are unsure of your rights, you may seek guidance from the Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards.
